Andrey Kuzkin – one of the most promising artists to have appeared on the Moscow art scene in the last few years. Breaking up with himself, or rather, his baggage, he was leaving behind all objects that for years seemed essential or important, that have surrounded, sustained, or hindered him. Getting rid of old-time companions including Kuzkin's own art seemed like taking off one's clothes. The artist was left naked, and the objects that could stand for him, since this project – will no longer be there to witness or prove his existence. He had to start from scratch.

Of course, the experiment couldn’t be scientifically correct. Kuzkin had no say over multiple objects held by museums, foundations or private collections – they are still around.

The rest is to be immured for 29 years – a term that should seem almost inconceivable to a young man. It was definitely a symbolic act of suicide, but also that of self-appointment: Kuzkin is trying out the role of one of those "immortals" whose archives are closed to the public for decades to the satisfaction or frustration of contemporaries. This shedding of the past and rejection of previous achievement have made the artist perfectly free and ready to start a new page.
