Vladislav Krasnoschek and Sergei Lebedynsky are two young, advancing in popularity photographers from Kharkov. In 2010, as they’ve barely started to take film photos they created a mockingly-provocative named group SHILO. (Along with them Vadim Trikoz is a member of the group). They exhibit both together and separately, achieving permanent success: in less than five years the group existed, the works by SHILO became a part of the collection in two museums in Russia and one in America, and the most active member of the group Vladislav Krasnoschek has won the Grand–Prix in the International contest “Photograffity”, his works were awarded the second prize of the all-Ukrainian contest “Photographer of the Year” and have made it onto the Rome-based Celeste Prize 2012 short list.
The photographs from the Grushevskogo Street were made in January 2014. Documental shots, which were taken in extreme situations, seem to depict the epic meaning of the events, comparable with the epoch of the Civil War or the World War I. That stylistic shift makes one reflect on the concept historic recurrence.
